Campuses Grapple with West Nile Virus

Howard University: D.C. health officials recommend repellents containing the active ingredient DEET, but that does not sit well with some people.

Southern University: Many students on campus are aware of the virus but fail to protect themselves.

Xavier University: The Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports that there are currently 222 confirmed human cases of West Nile Virus in Louisiana.
